Sea Grant Project Development Oppotunities

Objectives:The objectives of this project are to provide program flexibility and rapid response to new project development opportunities; to provide “seed” fund incentives to attract new, innovative project ideas; and to provide limited supplemental support for existing projects to achieve important results beyond the original scope of the formal program.Methodology:Each project development opportunity and project proposal will be reviewed by the Sea Grant staff, and, as necessary, by members of the Faculty Committtee and State-Industry Advisory Council, to decide if it is suitable and qualifies for support.Rationale:The MIT Sea Grant College Program will be able to respond more rapidly and aggressively to important issues in the marine field.
