MIT Sea Grant Now Accepting Applications for NOAA’s 2013 Coastal Management Fellowship.

The MIT Sea Grant College Program will sponsor applicants applying for NOAA¡s FY 2013 Coastal Management Fellowship. The Fellowship matches postgraduate students with state coastal zone programs to work on projects proposed by the state (see this year¡s six winning proposals, below.) This two-year opportunity offers a competitive salary, medical benefits, and travel and relocation expense reimbursement. Application materials must be submitted to our office no later than Friday January 25, 2013 to Kathy de Zengotita, at the MIT Sea Grant office via email — kdez@mit.edu. All information and instructions are in the attached document.EligibilityAny student who will complete a master’s, doctoral, or professional degree program in natural resource management or environmental-related studies at an accredited U.S. university between January 1, 2012, and July 31, 2013, is eligible. Students from a broad range of environmental programs are encouraged to apply. Students from non-U.S. institutions are not eligible.Application RequirementsAll applications must include:Resume or curriculum vitae (limit to two pages).Statement of the applicant’s goals with emphasis on what the applicant expects from and can contribute to the fellowship experience (500 words or less).Two letters of recommendation, including one from the applicant’s principal professor.
