CARES ACT
Section 12005 of the CARES Act authorizes the Secretary of Commerce to provide $300 million in appropriated funds to assist fishery participants affected by the novel coronavirus (COVID–19). NOAA Fisheries is working daily with the Department and federal partners to finalize a process to expedite the distribution of Sec. 12005 funds, consistent with the direction provided by Congress.

From NSGLC: A new rule allows seasonal businesses to calculate their maximum loan amount using any consecutive 12-week period between May 1-Sept 15, 2019. NSGLC recommends those that already submitted a Paycheck Protection Program loan application to contact their lender about the potential change to its loan calculation. >>More
